Seller's Description
The perfect simple boat to get you up and into sailing in the big leagues. I've set this boat up myself for sailing and was intending to cross the bight but decided to sell her and head back home to Canada instead. I've been living on her while FIFO and she is well suited for sailing. Without an inboard there is plenty of room inside, however the outboard will get swamped in waves bigger than about 2 meters. This means no motoring in big weather. I've had her out sailing in 40 knots, storm sails with 6m waves and she hasn't had a trouble! She can handle the seas better than most people. Two single beds, V berth and the sitting area turns into a double bed as well. Plenty of power to run the stereo with 300w solar mounted out back which also provides a little shade. Everything recently redone and checked so she is ready to go! Every inch of the hull can be inspected from the inside. No surprises to find in this boat. In the last two years: Sandblasted and repainted the steel hull, waterline down and some inside All electrics redone - lots of LED lights, music, fridge, radio Installed 300w solar panels All new plumbing system Rigging re-done New rudder Windvane fitted Just brought her from Albany to Mandurah on 6/4/15 in a solo trip. She is a simple fitout with little to go wrong and many redundancies. Lots of love went into this boat and I'm happy to take you sailing and show you everything I know. Can help deliver her anywhere in Australia if the company is good =) Other tidbits: Offshore safety harnesses (x2) and lines Steel hull 10m long Windwave self steering with electric autotiller for light winds 300w solar panels BBQ out back Gimballed metho stove Spare main and genoa Storm jib and storm mainsail Outboard powered (either 5hp or 18hp) Dinghy Inflatable kayak Fridge and icebox (icebox built to hold 8 6 packs of beer bottles perfectly) Lots of interior LED lighting Antenna and handheld VHF radios, EPIRBS, PLB, GPS, fire extinguisher (x2) life jackets ect Assortment of tools ect - can run electric drill off battery power Recent boat survey (If interested will include: kiteboard and a couple kites, DSLR camera, guitar) Please ask away any questions email as I currently work FIFO and unlikely to have phone access. . This boat will get you sailing or could be a fun home for another FIFO worker. I've hauled a lot of cray pots with her and caught some huge tuna.
