Seller's Description
We are often asked for a single engine installation fly bridge cruiser with plenty of room for the family, they don't come to the market all that often it seems. R Marine Mandurah is pleased to be able to fill the request for all those looking for a large volume family boat that can offer great economy in a single engine installation. The Thomascraft 45 could be the boat for you. Neatly trimmed throughout this 1999 built boat appears to be well maintained and handles well thanks to bow and stern thrusters at the helm. Top of the list for WA boating is a great cockpit and the Thomascraft 45 has that covered with one of the largest back decks in the game ! With enough room for a 6 person outdoor setting and still having room to move this has to tick the box for cockpit space. Diving, dancing, paddle boards, cray pots, grand kids, sun baking and more..... And all at once ! deep and wide this is the ideal entertaining area. Neatly finished with a fresh covering of marine carpet in a teak look finish over the top of a non-skid GRP deck. Great for fishing and entertaining with a nearly full length rear awning protecting you from the harsh WA sun. A bi-fold saloon door matched with a single opening door link the inside to the outside very effectively. An almost full width saloon door installation will open up the saloon to the cockpit seamlessly maximising the large saloon lounges and open plan of the boats cockpit as one huge entertaining area for long days at Rotto or social cruising up the Swan. I can see a 21st, a bucks day or wedding shower on board with ease. Brilliant memories. Head room galore in the saloon with a typical neat trim seen in the Thomascraft builds leads you through to the Port side galley, just one step down from the main saloon. Solid bench tops, an Amtico floor finish and ample room to feed an army. A four burner gas stove with oven, yes an oven a not so common item these days, although currently disconnected as the owner is not a fan of gas onboard. A three way Electrolux fridge / freezer and the obligatory microwave oven. This is a very functional galley. A long companionway draws your eye forward to the bow and a set of 4 tournament bunks, typical of the era this maximises the sleeping opportunities and crew when heading to the Abrolhos Islands. For the captain a spacious berth is set to Starboard midship ensuring you the best nights sleep available after a long day on the water. Options are available for additional berths utilising the saloon lounges if required with the ability to sleep 8 if the need arises. The fly bridge is a spacious affair, again being amongst the largest in its class. Room for at least 8 in the two fly bridge lounges and double helm seat will see the captain regaling stories of past adventures while skippering the boat to its next destination. Radar, GPS and Sounder house in a Raymarine Hybrid touch will keep you on course, a concise and clutter free helm making for easy passage. Recently re carpeted in the teak look finish seen in the cockpit. Access to the engine is via man hole in the saloon or a huge cockpit hatch making this one of the easiest engine rooms to work in which will keep your mechanic very happy on annual servicing. A single IVECO 700, V8 engine makes for a very economical installation and ongoing maintenance is obviously a cheaper affair. Economical on the water and on the hardstand. Showing around 350 hours there is a lifetime of operation left in this well known engine. She jumps into life with ease and is a pleasure to manoeuvre through the marina despite her single engine installation. Bow and stern thrusters are a great addition !Growing up at Rottnest Island this was a boat of choice and very highly thought of as a family cruiser, dive boat and ideally suited for offshore fishing. Seeing the island disappear as we tipped over the horizon at West End was a comfort as we all knew a safe trip out and back was a certainty and there was plenty of room for everyone on deck to have some space to themselves when the bite was on.
