Seller's Description
Far ahead of her time, The Corby 36 exploited an area of the IRC rule that had previously been untouched by most contemporary designs. With a fine sleek hull shape and high ballast ratio, the Corby 36 has a reputation as a true giant killer in the right hands that has persisted throughout the years. This particular example has been the beneficiary of a comprehensive optimisation and modernisation program that has led to her being arguably the top performer over recent years in her division of the Asia Yachting Circuit having won all of the major regattas on at least one occasion. Before her arrival in Asia, she was crowned Australian IRC Champion(Div C) at Hamilton Island Race Week 2012 and also won her division in the same years Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race(in conditions that did not suit her configuration at that time). The sail inventory is extensive from North and Ian Short Sails and allows for moding of the vessel dependant on conditions. Sails have been stored in air-conditioning for the majority of time. Currently stored at Royal Phuket Marina hardstand, she also comes with a trailer for transport of all spares and sail inventory. She is available as a turnkey prospect and has both Thai and Australian taxes paid allowing her to travel freely back to Australia if required. Existing infrastructure and process available for handover by negotiation. Proudly offered to the market by Ensign Racing as the central agent, this is undoubtedly the easiest way to hit the front of the fleet. Don't miss this opportunity!
