Seller's Description
Hey Jude II was purchased in June 2010 to replace their Bavaria 50 Vision. Owned by two owners whom swap off doing œ cruising season in the med each then hardstanding the boat for the off season. They have been enjoying the Med cruising lifestyle since 2007 but boat has to go as they have just ordered their third Bavaria a new Bavaria C65. Each winter Hey Jude II has been fully serviced and maintained by a professional yard and tradesmen with gear being replaced on a no down time basis i.e before absolutely necessary. Since its launch in Slovenia the boat has wintered in Malta, Greece and Turkey. Both owners LOVING the Adriatic, Greece and Turkey cruising experience. HEY Jude II has been set up to be handled by one experienced skipper and one crew and to be independent form Marinas as much as possible which is facilitated by: Generator, Water maker, large battery bank, ground tackle of 35 KG anchor and 100mts chain, a 3.10 meter rib and 20HP Motor that is easily launched and retrieved to and from the dinghy garage and outboard davit, and a large bathing platform to help disembarking and embarking with supplies as well as being perfect for bathing and enjoying the Weber BBQ. The platform also means there is no need to drip water into the main cockpit after swimming and showering. Other features the owners love about their boat and would not ever do without swap : The superbly designed steps to take you from bathing platform to cockpit, the fact that the cockpit is single level means that everything just flows .The cockpit is spacious for relaxing and entertaining A SO important but often overlooked feature is the designed ergonomics of the cockpit seating that allow comfortable sitting or lounging at anchor and at sea for long periods even overnight ( so many boats look comfortable but leave you sitting too upright or without enough depth to support the legs). A cockpit table that is practical at sea ( especially with the central stowage) and then extends to a full size table for dinner at anchor. Access to the wide side decks that is easy without disturbing guests lounging in the cockpit and leads to a large flat coach roof and a huge flat foredeck both areas superb for relaxing or even sleeping under the stars and the foredeck is a regular morning yoga spot. Easily erected and stowed sunshades protect these areas from the heat of the day. Again once you have experienced a boat with these features you would never change. The companionway steps are angled nicely for safe effortless transition from cockpit to cabin and here are some of the features the owners value so much below: In the master cabin the bed is HUGE and nice and low with great access giving a great feeling of air and space. As well as two hanging wardrobes and a large laundry stowage behind the bedhead there is a WALK IN WARDROBE. The bathroom is huge has amazing storage even a laundry basket and a separate shower room. All mattresses are covered with luxury memory foam and come with high quality custom fitted sheets. Fans make the need for air con almost zero. The galley is absolutely best in class and era and has more work surface, refrigeration and stowage and many much larger boats and the central Island means that guest can enjoy making pre dinner drinks and help prep (and of course clean up) without getting in the way. The refrigeration consists of a large upright waist height front opening fridge with freezer above and a large below bench fridge great for cold drinks, beer and wine. Opposite the galley forming part of the lounge is a useful drawer and Huge locker great for storing bulk beer, wine and dry goods. The owners modified the salon with custom cushions and table for improved lounging comfort and access. A pull out bench and simple pull out bench allows ample seating and dining for up to 9 guests. Aft of the lounge is a huge full height locker ideal for tools , towels, and much more. Aft of the galley is a good size chart area and further aft are the twin guest cabins each with lots of headroom good size beds , great stowage and their own bathroom accessed from the salon or directly from the cabin itself. A typical day in this amazing lifestyle is wake up to a pristine bay, go down to the bathing platform and dive into the beautiful water . Rinse off with the aft shower head ( the water is still hot from the night before) then dry off without taking water into the main cockpit. Switch on the generator and watermaker and then get the espresso machine going. After an hour or so the batteries are charged and you have water for 6 for at least a day or 2. Maybe jump in the tender and take it to the village around the corner to collect fresh bread and fruit etc and come back to prepare breakfast and plan the days exploration activities or set sail for the next destination. Hey Jude II is for sail ready for you to cruise ! Along with a capable boat the new owners will enjoy a handover where we can offer few days briefing- orientation showing how and why this boat works so well and is perfect for this great lifestyle.
