Hallberg-Rassy has long had an excellent reputation for well built, strong yachts that are designed to cruise the world. One of their classics has been the HR 34. It's carried many an adventurer over countless miles of ocean. But, after 15 years, HR has replaced the venerable 34 with a new German Frers designed HR 342.Nothing comes close to a Hallberg-Rassy. Not in structure, nor internal joinery nor finish. And certainly not built to the strict CE certification (unlimited ocean voyages). Simplicity is what the HR342 is all about. She has a big main and self-tending jib. She is very fast and nothing can be simpler -all one does is steer. The main is "in mast furling" with long vertical battens. Every thing is done from the cockpit. Mainsail - in and out - from the cockpit. The jib furls from the cockpit, just steer and enjoy. It can sleep six if you want to invite your friends or teach your grand kids to sail and cruise.
